Directions:
On houseplants, mix castings into potting soil for new plants (20-50% castings), or
apply a 1/2 to 1-inch layer as a top dressing to established plants every few months, gently working it into the soil and watering thoroughly.
In an outdoor garden, you can either mix castings into the soil before planting or apply
them as a top dressing around existing plants, watering them in. For new plantings, mix 1 part castings into 3 parts soil, or add 1-2 inches of castings to the bottom of planting holes.
For a boost, you can also make a casting fertilizer (tea) by soaking one part castings in
three parts water for 24 hours, and using it to water your plants.
Prepare your water: If using chlorinated tap water, let it sit overnight to allow the
chlorine to dissipate before adding castings.
